Bangkok to Phuket

16 Days Island Hopping Southern Thailand

Day 1: Wake up early and walk or catch a taxi to your bus/ferry to Koh Tao. Once in Koh Tao catch a short taxi ride to Sairee Beach. Arrive at your hostel or dive school. Late afternoon start your Open Water Diver Training. If you are not diving you have free time.

Day 2 & 3: Open Water Diver Training. If you are not diving you will have free time.

Day 4: In the morning Open Water Diver Training. If you are not diving you have free time. In the afternoon you will catch a taxi to the pier where you will catch your ferry to Koh Phangan. You will then catch a taxi to your hostel in Haad Rin. You are now free to relax.

Day 5, 6, 7 & 8: Free time.

Day 9: Wake up early and catch a taxi to your ferry/bus to Krabi. Arrive in Krabi in the afternoon. Catch a taxi to your hostel. You have free time. Later you may have your Pub Crawl (Mon, Wed, Fri, Sun).

Day 10 & 11: Sleep in because around midday you will be picked up for your Island Awesomeness Adventure (Tues, Thurs, Sat). At night you may have your Pub Crawl (Mon, Wed, Fri, Sun). When not doing these you have free time.

Day 12: Sleep in, around midday catch a taxi to your ferry to Koh Phi Phi. Arrive on Koh Phi Phi late afteroon and pay your 20 Thai Baht enterance fee. Walk to your hostel.

Day 13, 14 & 15: Leave in the afternoon on your Booze Cruise to Maya Bay or your Overnight Maya Bay Sleep Aboard Tour. When not doing this you have free time.

Day 16: In the morning you can sleep off that hangover because early afternoon you will have to walk to the pier where you will catch your ferry to Phuket. When you arrive in Phuket late afternoon you will catch a taxi to your hostel.

If you intend to return to Bangkok you can either take an overnight bus from Koh Phi Phi or catch a connection to Krabi or Phuket Airport and catch a plane. This can now be bought for around the same price. You can also catch a flight to Chang Mai, Thailand / Siem Reap, Cambodia and other places at cheaper prices than a bus.

If you have less time and will not go diving you can shorten your stay in Koh Tao or Krabi or skip them completely, the transport is basically the same except you will be continuing to the next destination.
